Syrian American Physician
We are honored to welcome Dr. Maher Nana to the SAAPP community as a new member of our Board of Advisory. A dedicated Syrian American physician based in Miami since 2000, Dr. Nana is originally from Aleppo and earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo in 1997. He has been a steadfast supporter of the Syrian revolution since its beginning in 2011 and is a co-founder of the Syrian Support Group (SSG)—a prominent NGO that actively advocated for a unified military resistance under the Free Syrian Army (FSA) umbrella. Most recently, Dr. Nana was part of the delegation that visited Syria alongside U.S. Congressmen Cory Mills and Marlin Stutzman, reflecting his continued commitment to advocacy and direct engagement on the ground. Dr. Nana’s unwavering dedication to justice, along with his leadership, makes him a tremendous addition to the SAAPP community. We are proud to have him join our efforts.
