Margate, Florida USA Born in 1962 and raised in Damascus, Dr. Alayoubi completed high school and medical school there, graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University in 1986. In 1989, he earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Emory University. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and received cardiovascular disease training at Pennsylvania State University. Since 1998, he has been practicing noninvasive cardiology in Margate, South Florida, specializing in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. His primary focus includes perioperative cardiac evaluation and nuclear cardiology. Beyond medicine, his advocacy work has been notable since the start of the Syrian revolution. Along with a small group of friends, he co-founded Kayla’s PAC (Political Action Committee) and served as its third president in 2019. During his leadership, he played a pivotal role in the approval of the Caesar Act by the Trump administration, which imposed sanctions on the Syrian regime. An active advocate for the freedom of the Syrian people, he leveraged strong relationships with Congressman Ted Deutch and the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee to further Syrian causes. His collaboration with Citizens for a Safe and Secure America has involved extensive travel to build support for Syrian lobbying efforts. Over the past eight years, he has been affiliated with the Republican Party and supported President Trump’s election campaigns through his network. Working with his previous PAC team, efforts have been revitalized to aid the recovery and rebuilding of a liberated Syria. Currently, he is part of SAAPP (Syrian American Advocacy and Public Policy), working towards the group’s renewed goals to advance these initiatives.
