Dr. Ahmad Hashem, MD, PHD

Boston Biopharma, Atlanta, Georgia USA Dr. Ahmad Hashem is a healthcare executive, entrepreneur, and NGO mentor with over 24 years of experience. He has served on the boards of 10 non-profit organizations in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Geneva, focusing mostly on strategic planning and governance. He was selected as one of Georgia’s 100 Influential Muslims by ISB-Atlanta in 2022. Ahmad is the co-founder and CEO of a pharmaceutical startup that provides medications for specialty diseases. Previously, Dr. Ahmad worked as Global Manager for Microsoft’s Healthcare and Life Sciences group, where he was responsible for leading Microsoft’s worldwide strategy in healthcare. His previous work with the World Health Organization, the United Nations Development Program, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation projects, and USAID funded projects touched more than 60 countries in various capacities, mostly in health system strengthening. Ahmad holds an MD degree from the University of Damascus and a PhD degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Ahmad lives with his wife and three children in Atlanta, Georgia.
